Mind Me! works directly with children; however, we believe that most of the learning and practice of skills should continue at home. Therefore, we provide parents with an easy-to-follow recap of each week’s session, including practical ways to implement the lessons at home. Please see the recap of our Week 5 lesson on Dealing with Disappointment (primary school children):

Every 45-minute session includes a variety of activities, such as games, videos, science experiments, and crafts, each serving a specific purpose in demonstrating that week’s theme. Activities are short and fun, to keep children's attention when they are tired after school.

There are currently four consecutive Mind Me! (Grade 1-6) courses that run across a whole year. Little Mind Me! offers a similar programme for children between the ages of 4 and 6. We are always developing new courses - let us know if there is a theme or need that you would like to bring to our attention.

Both courses have the same goal, to improve emotional regulation and empower children. However, we have adapted the programs to suit the needs of the different age groups. Thus, Little Mind Me! takes a less structured approach to Mind Me! which has 8 set sessions per term.
In Little Mind Me! we focus a lot on the basics of regulation with the principles of STOP-THINK-DO. We demonstrate and practice different ways of self control to help children to regulate themselves when they feel BIG emotions. We play games, work through different calm down strategies and generally adapt to the needs of the group on the day.
